Aaron and Lenaya - father and daughter - had the dream of opening an automotive shop...
Aaron started his professional career as a missionary in West Africa, living and working there for 10 years. It was an amazing experience living with some of the coolest people on earth, but it was a difficult place to raise a family. After returning to the States he worked as a technician at a Honda dealership in Little Rock for 6 years. Meanwhile, Lenaya worked as a receptionist at a Chevrolet dealership. They both noticed things that could be done differently, resulting in a better experience for customers and employees alike.
The vision behind Salem Automotive is to provide a place in our community where customers can:
- Come and get their car taken care of by professionals without having to endure and navigate high-pressure tactics and unnecessary recommendations which only serve to drive more sales for the shop.
- Get clear and honest communication about what their car needs and why.
- Meet face-to-face with and talk to the person who is doing the work on their car, ask them questions, and get their expert perspective.
Also, since being back in the greatest country on God’s green earth, Aaron noticed that there is a huge need in our society to help young men learn a skill that they can use to support themselves and their future families.
At Salem Automotive, young men can be trained both in practical skill and in how to work with people. Through their apprenticeship, they will receive the necessary training and preparation to one day go on to open their own shop.
Young men will also learn the importance of honor, discipline, and integrity both personally and professionally.
